introducing: jesse dresbach

jesse dresbach in front of spice racks he fashioned out of old abandoned coke bottle cases. genius.

We are really excited to introduce our first ever tdm contributor. Yea!!! Jesse Dresbach of Nine Red will be writing a monthly column for us, School of Restoration, dedicated to his passion for saving old ugly pieces of furniture and breathing new life into them . We are big fans of Jesse and his work and are absolutely thrilled that he will now be a part of our little world.

A bit about Jesse...
"I spend almost all my spare time rescuing furniture from the decors of our parents, and the forgotten backs of our basements. I am so lucky to work out of my home, with the assistance of my 3 cats. Yes, 3. I have always enjoyed making things, and this love only grew as I got older - especially things in the realm of home decor.

When I first moved out, I inherited a wide variety of furniture, none of which seemed to match any of the others. Without the funds necessary to start over, I accepted the challenge and decided to try my hand at forcing them all to match. After my first few tables, I fell in love and just kept going from there. I think it's so fun to find something hideous and see what you can make it into! I decided to start selling my pieces after the great feedback I was getting, and quite honestly, the furniture started closing in on me!

It's been a lot of fun, and I'm happy that this otherwise overlooked furniture, now has a place to call home. When I look back at my first few projects, I can really see that I have learned a lot along the way, and I'm always willing to share it with fellow creators!" - Jesse

Welcome, Jesse!! We can't wait for all we can learn from you.
